Another week of warm weather is ahead, followed by some weekend rain, according to the National Weather Service.

We’re looking at some fog for the Wednesday morning commute to class but this should break by mid-morning. The rest of the day will be sunny with a high in the upper 70s and even a chance of seeing 80. The evening will see a cool down to the low 60s and high 50s.

Thursday will be another day of sun with a high near 70 and an evening low around 60.

Friday is going to be the beginning of a shift toward cooler and rainier weather with a high close to 73 falling to the mid to low 60s in the evening. Forecasters are also predicting a chance of showers Friday night, however, some models show an earlier start to rain sometime Friday afternoon.

Saturday looks to be the rainiest day of the long weekend with a 70% chance of precipitation and scattered showers for most of the day. Temperature-wise, we’re looking at a high of 71 and an evening low at 56.

Sunday will see a continued chance of showers in the morning but sunny skies later on. Sunday should have a high in the mid 60s and a cooler evening around 48.

Monday looks like it’s going to be a perfect fall day; mostly sunny with a high in the mid 50s to low 60s dropping down to 51 in the evening. If you’re looking for the perfect weather to enjoy apple picking or making a day trip out of the city, look no further.

For our return to classes on Tuesday, it’s likely to be mostly cloudy with a high just below 60 and dropping down to the low 50s in the evening.
