Applications for Orientation Leaders and Ram Supporters are now open, presenting an opportunity for current students to step into a leadership position and have an impact on incoming students. Applications are due Feb. 24 with an early action deadline of Feb. 15.
Alex Paterson, the director of Orientation, New Student and Family Programs, emphasized how rewarding both of these positions are.
“There are so many benefits to serving as an Orientation Leader and/or RAM Supporter. Not only are these both paid positions, the leadership skills developed and personal growth that occurs while serving in these roles is unmatched,” said Paterson. “Students who’ve served in both of these roles report with pride that because of their experience, they feel they have the ability to develop authentic relationships with peers and coworkers and they’ve improved their problem solving and communication skills.”
All applicants are required to attend an information session. Upcoming information sessions are being held Feb. 21 and Feb. 23. More information can be found on their Instagram, @SuffolkRammy.
