March nor’easter brings tidal surges to flood-prone areas of Boston

A major coastal storm brought flooding, rain, snow and high winds to Boston’s harbor side, just steps from Suffolk University’s main campus from Friday into early Sunday morning.

Governor Charlie Baker declared a state-wide emergency as parts of Massachusetts had wind gusts as high as 90 mph.

According to the Boston Globe, parts of Western Massachusetts had received nearly 12 inches of snow while some parts of the Greater Boston area received nearly six inches of rain.
