As the federal government continues to pass legislation against immigration, Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey said, “Officials here follow the law. We are not a sanctuary state.” at a press conference on Jan. 22. To protest these statements and legislation, the Boston Party for Socialism and Liberation organized the “Make Massachusetts a Sanctuary State Rally and March” on Feb. 9.
The Boston Party for Socialism and Liberation is holding another protest on Feb. 16 at 2 pm in East Boston.

As a Massachusetts taxpayer, and long term resident of Greater Boston, I think it’s well about time that we do become a sanctuary state.

As a Massachusetts taxpayer I do not want to see this state become a sanctuary state at all and I’ll vote against it with everything I have.
