2010 Festival Forecast: Nateva

Oxford, Maine will be the site of a brand new music festival taking place during early July, called Nateva. The festival is just a mere two and a half hour from Boston and is based on a fairground that includes camping for those who want to. While the entire lineup will be revealed later this week, the festival has already announced one of their headliners, the Flaming Lips. Other bands to be announced are expected to be “world class artists in the true Jam Band tradition – as well as a sweet mix of Country, Folk, Reggae, Classic Rock and Indie Artists too.”

New England has been without a major rock festival, with the closest being in New York State. Many hope that Nateva will be able to deliver a large scale festival that rivals festivals such as Coachella and Lollapalooza, but reports claim that it will become more intimate than those. Nevertheless, a rock festival coming to New England is good news.

Nateva will take place from July 2-4 in Oxford, Maine.
