Boston Fashion Week edition! Fashion Week events and parties are highlighted in addition to city nightlife and festivals. [Wed. 10/3 – Fashion] Retail/fashion truck showcase featuring The Fashion Truck, Lola’s Urban Vintage, ARTichoke, The Brkfst Clb, Sneakerbox, and the Boston Sports Apparel Company. (City Hall Plaza, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Free)

[Thurs. 10/4 – Fashion] Massachusetts Apparel Resource and Trade presents A Made in Massachusetts Forum with panel discussions from fashion industry professionals in the areas of designing, starting up, manufacturing, branding, and retailing. [Fri. 10/5 – Fashion, Art] Popular city retailers collaborate with the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) to bring a runway show and advice from designers and stylists. Museum access included. (ICA, 5:00pm to 10:00 p.m., Free members/ $15 nonmembers, 21+)

[Sat. 10/6 – Fashion] Boston’s School of Fashion Design presents a panel discussing careers in fashion; panelists include reps from Beyond Boston Chic, Dynasty Models, Papercut Magazine, and more. (Boston Public Library, 2:00 p.m., Free)

[Sat. 10/6 – Food] The Boston Dish Pier Seafood Festival features food samples, an all-day clambake, chef demonstrations, art, live entertainment, and more. (Bank of America Pavilion, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., $8 to $10)

[Sat. 10/6 – Fashion] Celebrate Boston Fashion Week with the city’s “stylish crowd,” including runway models, fashion designers, stylists, and photographers. (Bar 10, 10:30 p.m., $30, 21+)

[Sun. 10/7 – Shopping] The SOWA open market features 140 indie designers, crafters, artists, musicians, farmers, food trucks, and more. There will also be a clothing swap for men – simply put, a swap ticket is rewarded per item brought. (SOWA Open Market, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)
