Suffolk University saw nine new positive COVID-19 cases from March 29 to April 1, all of which were identified at on-campus testing sites, according to the university’s COVID-19 testing data page.

The nine new cases brings Suffolk’s total number of COVID-19 cases to 149 since residential students resumed testing in January in preparation for the Spring semester.

Suffolk’s total case count on the university’s COVID-19 testing data page includes only positive tests which were detected at on-campus testing sites. The Journal’s total includes both on and off-campus positive test results.

According to Suffolk’s testing data page, all symptomatic individuals are tested at off-campus testing sites.

As of April 1, the university’s seven-day rolling positivity rate was 0.326%, compared to 0.263% on March 21.

The university’s overall positivity rate for the 2020-2021 academic year was 0.368% as of April 1, while Massachusetts’ seven-day average positivity rate was 2.5% as of that date.

From March 29 to April 1, Suffolk conducted 2,377 COVID-19 tests. The university has conducted a total of 75,379 COVID tests since residential students moved in last August, excluding tests which came back as invalid. From March 29 to April 1, 57 COVID tests came back as invalid.
