‘We’ll flood the streets!’

Bostonians rally against increasing ICE activity

The Boston branch of the Party for Socialism & Liberation (PSL) held an “ICE out of Boston” rally outside the JFK Federal Building this past Saturday, Sept. 13, in response to a recent surge of ICE activity. On Sept. 6, ICE launched Operation Patriot 2.0, the predecessor to an operation that resulted in 1,500 arrests, according to ICE. The PSL shared a post on Instagram stating, “They want to ‘flood the zone’ to keep us confused and terrorized. We won’t take it- we’ll flood the streets!”

The rally lasted for approximately an hour. Five speakers addressed the crowd, sharing personal stories and concerns about ICE operations in Massachusetts. The crowd started to disperse shortly after the last speaker concluded.
