Tuesday 15th

9:30-2:15pm: Red Cross Blood Drive Did you know one donation can help save the lives of up to 3 people? Every minute of every day, someone needs blood. You can fill a crucial need by donating. Please contact the Center for Community Engagement (Donahue 209, 617-305-6306) to schedule an appointment. Ridgeway Gym.

1:00-2:30pm: Film screening of The Black Panthers Speak The uprising of the Black Panthers in the early 1970s had a radical effect on Israeli society, It signaled an awakening of Mizrahi cultural consciousness that continues to this day. The movement took the Mizrahi class struggle out of its local and nationalist Jewish framework, linking it to the civil rights struggle in the United States, the Third World Marxism, and, for the first time, to the Palestinian struggle in Israel. There will be a discussion with the filmaker following the movie. Donahue 311. 

Wednesday 16th

5:30-8:00pm: Film screening of Aziz Ayima: The filmmaker embarks on a journey with his mother in search of classmates from her elementary school, the Alliance, which she attended 60 years ago in the little village of Gurama in the Tafilalt region of Morocco. Through their stories of past and present, Morocco is reconstructed and comes to life through vivid memories. It is a story of transition, cultural crisis, social survival and also lots of faith, optimism, joy and dignity, told for the first time by Moroccan women of the first generation to immigrate to Israel. Ridgeway 416.

Thursday 17th: SPIRIT DAY!!!

Wear purple to stand in solidarity with the LGBTQ community against bullying!! Go purple on social media by using #SpiritDay. 

5:30-7:00pm:  Poetry reading: poems from “I’m An Arab Jew”, Poetry by Sami Shalom Chetrit in Hebrew and English translation. Sami Shalom Chetrit is the head of the Hebrew Studies Program in the department of Classical, Middle Eastern, and Asian Languages and Cultures at Queens College, CUNY. Professor Chetrit is a Moroccan Jew who was raised in Israel. He writes and publishes scholarly work, poetry and prose and makes documentary films. Poetry Center.

6:00-8:00pm: Latino Dance Night!  As part of the Hispanic Heritage Month, learn some salsa, bachata, and merenge moves right before the big Nuestra Cultura event! Donahue 403. 

6:00-8:30pm: Trivia Night at the Red Hat: (21+) Come enjoy socializing, networking and putting your knowledge to the test with the Suffolk Community. Alumni and Suffolk seniors will square off in a battle of the wits, at the place where everyone knows your n a.m.e- The Red Hat!  

10:00-11:00pm: SERIOUSLY BENT weekly show. Go for the funny ha-ha’s. 150 Tremont Basement

Friday 18th

8:00-10:00pm:  Fall Fest is a variety show made up of 12-14 different individual numbers as well as company production numbers during Homecoming Weekend. This year’s theme is WELCOME HOME, and will feature great songs and sketches. The event is sure to amaze you! C. Walsh. 

Saturday 19th

10:00-1:00pm:  Join us for the second annual Journey Regatta, where students who have participated in the Leadership & Sailing program show off their skills and compete against each other.

11:30-1:30pm: PAO Homecoming Brunch Come enjoy brunch during Homecoming weekend! The Performing Arts Office is excited to host a delicious brunch and meet all students, family and friends of the University. The brunch will be located in the Student Lounge on the 4th floor of Donahue. Please RSVP at the following link: Brunch RSVP

Sunday 20th

8:30-11:00am: Stampede FUN Run Participants will meet at the softball field in the Boston Common, located on the corner of Boylston Street and Charles Street.

Schedule:
8:30am Registration, 9:00am Kids 1K Run, 9:30am 5k Run, 8:30-11:00 Light refreshments and a fun athletic activity offered by Knucklebones

Prizes:
5K 1st place: Kindle Fire, 5K 2nd place: iPod Shuffle and $20 iTunes gift card, 5K 3rd place: iPod Shuffle

$10 suggested minimum donation per runner or $25 per family. T-shirts will be provided for the first 100 entrees. Sizes are not guaranteed.
