Dear students,

The Student Government Association would like to give you a couple of updates for this week. First we would like to congratulate Yancy Brown, the newly appointed Finance Committee Liaison.

This month, Student Government Association is going to be co-sponsoring the Professional Dining Etiquette Luncheon sponsored by Career Services. This will be on October 26th, in the 9th floor of 73 Tremont. Every student that has gone in the past has loved this program, and we are sure you will too! Get your tickets at the HUB in the Donahue lobby.

This week, the Student Government Association approved two finance requests. One of them was for the SUPERS to attend their National Conference, and the other was for Model United Nations so they can go to their National Conference.

We would also like to announce that after a successful retreat, the Student Government Association board has made a list of goals they would like to achieve this year. A few of these goals are: a ‘Take the Stairs’ initiative that would relieve student traffic in the academic building elevators; supporting our student athletes and their Suffolk teams; Making more high demand textbooks available on reserve and bringing more newspapers to the academic buildings for student use. We will continue to keep you updated on the status of all these goals throughout the year, along with all the others.

If you still want to be a member, you can come to our meetings. Once you have attended three meetings you can be a member-at-large and then get voted in as a Senator. Our weekly meetings are every Thursday at 1:00pm in Donahue 311. As always, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected].

Have a great week,

Student Government     Association
